After pulling my hairs for couple of days, searching tens of forums and the internet for a solution.. I finally reached here where I see plenty people resolving this. Please, for the bottom of my heart, I know I'm a new guy, but I would PAY for someone to help me get mine working.

So here's the info:

The problem: So I got a vcp 5.5.1 , tried to login with all famous "04354" login code, did not work... bad code... so I'm stuck. What can/should I do ? Is it because my login is maybe different ? I've heard you can "find" it from vcds "somewhere". Thanks all for the time taken to read this

Hang in there LonestarX as I believe one of the members who worked hard on this feature will help you out. They are real good guys.

Cheers!

I just noticed you don't have a Tiguan in your profile?

I saw a bunch of gen3 people who got it working here and I just can't figure out how they passed the login code... and I don't know what's my login code... I tried looking in vcds but I have a clone and it wasn't shown anywhere and besides I don't think I even know where to look for it... I'm just borderline hopeless
You're one honest individual there LonestarX.

Good Luck with this!

Cheers!

Try to do a Security Access with that code on VCDS. If it works you are doing something wrong in VCP.
VCP has a guided function for that activation, don't need to go via EEPROM editor, but don't know if that clone already has that.
I already tried the guided function. It stops at trying the security login saying the code is bad. (Presumably because the hard coded code is 04354 and it's not working)

oh, nice, always learning.

In the picture that you shared I see VCDS and I see a button saying "Security Access - 16", don't understand why you can't try the code on VCDS.

If the code is accepted on VCDS its an issue with your cloned VCP, do you understand the test?

Remember that 2/3 times wrong tries will lock the module for some time and the code will be refused even if you are trying the correct one. If your login finder is validating 4354 as a correct code... So I would start with thaqt one on VCDS. You can also try 19173

So good luck flashing the EEPROM, I hope you have found a good flash file for it

@OD in all honesty, I don't have a tiguan but this post is not really as much about tiguans as it is about the door modules. for which the coding is the same.

@n4s, this is gen3 so no vcds, i have to flash the eeprom for this
It's you that wrote that you will flash the EEPROM, so if you are doing it you need flash file. I'm just playing with you...

Just reached a service with an original vcp, lo and behold, code was working just fine 04354, used the guided function with no problem ! Warning for everyone else who encountered my problem !!!
Btw: i found a guy on a polish forum who described how to shorten the required time for holding the keyfob pressed but sadly i didn't quite understand it all so i'm gonna do some more research. Idk if i'm allowed to post foreign forum links here but if i am and anyone wants to give it a try or can help people figure it out, let me know. Thank you very much for all the help and answers !!!

since then I have done it in a few cars

so I'm quite sure
only the eos had shortened response time as far as I see. anyways, what happens if i tried on 1k0 bcm ? And secondly, what do I even need to change cos I still didn't understand which of those 8 bytes per address do I have to change to my desired time. If you could elucidate this mystery, I'd be super thankful
all I know is the first address is supposed to look like this after changing the time to 0.8 seconds: 0808 08FF FFFF 0000. don't know anything about how 1121 and 1122 are supposed to look like. Is the rule just change the first 3 bytes of all those 3 addresses to whatever time you want?

LE: this is my BCM

Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels:. 1K0-937-08x-09.clb

ok so you have the 8 bits, why is it you need to change the first 3 bits to your desired time ? I mean, does it matter which bits you change ? Is it specifically the first 3 ?

Also, have you ever tried doing it on 1k0 ? what happens ? I could change to a 5k0 since I wanted some other stuff as well but let's see this first

The reason why I'm asking about this is because the guy I found talking about this (before seeing your posts about it), did a tutorial on this on a 1k0 as you can see below

Yes, I finally did it, as n4s says, i have a 1k0 bcm and I had FF FF FF as default values but when I changed them to 05 05 05 as I wanted 0.5 seconds, it worked just fine. All with VCP in 1 minute. it also decreases the time needed for rolling the windows (it's like almost down to between 1-2 seconds needed to hold the button) but this isn't an issue as mirror unfolding is not done from the remote but from the door opening or engine starting. so as a bonus, when you lock the car, it will start rolling the windows up faster now ! if you don't want to roll your windows up necessarily when you lock your car (although... not much of a point in locking the car if you're gonna leave the windows down :D) you can just release the lock button and the windows will stop rolling. now moving on to the next step if only someone out there knows how to auto-roll windows up on locking and folding just by editing the bcm eeprom. (or even some relay dongle or small hard mod not involving taking apart your car). Anyways, remember, if you have trouble in VCP it's 100% because the cable is not original. Hope all this info helps out fellows in need and searching for answers, cheers to everyone and special thanks to n4s for having patience with me !

PS: this is how it looks for me now

Here are the long awaited instructions for coding your folding mirrors off the fob:-

Goto module 42, unlock by going to security tab (VCDS will tell you the code).

Goto adaptation

find

(2)-System_Parameter_14-System Parameter Byte1, change E0 to E5 - open with ignition

or
(2)-System_Parameter_14-System Parameter Byte1,change E0 to E9 - open with door

Save

I am assuming you know how to use VCDS.

Make sure convenience is set in the MFD (see discussion in thread with the guys who didn't get it to work first time)

I politely request that if you want to cut and paste these instructions to use on other forums that you acknowledge both welshkaiboy and n4s as the original authors/copywriters of this coding.
Thank you and everyone involved, for this.
It finally works [emoji4]
