You may have accidently hit the speed warning set option. One can enter a speed of 80mph for example whereby if you go over this speed, a warning chime will sound to alert you are over your set mph.

Check your owner's manual under "Speed Warning". I just checked my owner's manual for my VW Atlas and it has set "warning at ____mph"

I've got mine set at 75 mph to ding me if I am cruising a bit too hot. Lol very nice feature. Won't let you see the MFD till you drop below the swr speed.

My one is set at 165mph and never gone off.
