Here's a good one I doubt any can answer!!
My 2017 2l diesel SEL 4Motion has developed what I can only describe as 'distressed' anodizing on the surface of BOTH rear quarter trims pieces, all other alloy trim pieces are perfect, but these 2 rears have somehow lost their 'silver' finish & sort of 'gone white'!!??
Tried the obvious i.e. rubbing, polishing with various metal cleaners etc. but no, no different whatever.
Its as though the anodizing has literally somehow changed it composition, any one else had similar??
Another thing I thought of was, since these 2 parts are drastically 'formed/bent' into shape, maybe that's affected the surface finish, also, since BOTH are the same, it suggests that it may be a common occurrence.
