I have a 2019 Tiguan S. I got the EPC light come on solid and disappear a few times then the solid Engine light come on and stay on (all within 24 hours). So I use my OBD2 scanner and get P30C0 “Manufacture Control”. I’ve had some people tell me it needs an oil change, someone else told me I’m using the wrong grade of gas. I only ever use 87 octane and it doesn’t call for anything higher so I’ve been fine. But I wanted to come here to ask someone who knows more about it and can guide me to what it may be. I haven’t noticed it shaking or in limp mode, so I’m confused. Any ideas?

Sorry I can’t help but I can tell you a generic code reader such as that is next to useless on a VW, it’s telling you nothing. The guesses people have made could be right …… or not ? Personally I wouldn’t use 87 octane in my lawnmower and have always used 95 in myTiguan and now in my Golf R-Line however that may well be different in the USA. Hopefully somebody with more knowledge will tell you more but all I can suggest is you do a search on the forum for similar problems and find out what others did.
