Hi everyone, I'm Jeff and I'm new on here.
The problem I have is my tiguan has developed a clicking sound when I turn right, but only in drive mode. If I depress the clutch and freewheel the noise goes.
This would make me suspect that it is a worn cv joint but is likely to be the n/s or the o/s joint?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like a CV joint. If theres no obvious splits in the boot you may need to jack it up and spin the wheels.

Thanks for the reply Stevey. Am I right in thinking that if the noise is there as I turn right, it would be the n/s cv joint is worn, or is it other way around? Also I doubt they would make a clicking sound jacked up because the absence of the load bearing factor, so is there a way to check for play?

Not sure, but i think eve with the car jacked up you should be able to tell?
