There is a setting to turn off the rear when reversing. Can't recall which bit, but it is pretty evident.

Yep, that is one of the most annoying and most common coding changes I do, would be nice if it was in the MFD. Nothings worse then wiping your front windows clear, and your rear is iced over and thawing off with defrost to put it in reverse to hear it drag across the ice.. ripped a wiper blade off the arm one time..

 

It depends... All my life I only remember to have ice on window one time, so it's quite nice feature. It was one occasion that temperatures were negative, like -1.

 

I do wish I could adjust the intermittent speed of the rear wiper..

 

You aren't the only one. 15s is ridiculous. Even in a rain storm, it's wiping 5 times more than needed to clear the glass.

 

Thtas the funny part, on the Long Coding helper you can click it to react to the intermittent setting of the front but that only happens when you only have the rear on and it only makes about a 3-5 second difference, the on come the front on int and it goes back to normal setting..

 

Never saw that option on my 2010

 

I saw it on my 11 Golf as well, its on the same screen as rear Tear Wipe, there is 2 boxes, ill snag a screen shot tomorrow..

This is in the MFD for my Wife's 2016 Polo, so I'm guessing it's also now in the MFD on the Mk2 tiggy.
