My car is with Firestone right now, and I am trying to do research so I can send them information to hopefully get my car back before the heat death of the universe.
They recently replaced the Auxillary Water pump, because it had a leak. Whatever happened then, some sort of pipe got gouged against by the big fan inside the car. Then, once that was replaced, 2 days after I got it back, the AC fan stays on until the battery is dead. And as soon as there is a power source, be it another car jumping or the battery being reconnected, it goes straight back on.
My car is old, but I really want to keep it as buying a new car at this point is not a thing I can do right now, but it is starting to seem like I may just need to bite the bullet, get a loan, and try to buy a used, slightly newer car of a different model so repairs don't cost my arm and leg.
