Hello all, I have a 2017 AWD Tiguan with 130,000 miles that recently had some engine troubles, causing me to have two questions I've not been able to find concrete answers for.
Symptoms - ABS light, Parking brake light, tire pressure light are all lit on the dashboard indicating some sort of malfunction. When scanning many codes pop up a lot of which are simply repeating. The car is throwing the following codes.
P53271 - Fault Codes in Controle Module for ABS Breaks
01679 - ABS Wheel Speed Signal Front Left sporadic 013 (Probably the cause of the above code)
02214 - Tire Pressure Warning - sporadic 002
00283 - Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor sporadic 009-Open or Short to Ground
Now I replaced the front left speed sensor last night and cleared the codes just to have all of them pop back up. And with a little help from google I'd imagine that was the problem which then causes the other codes to throw (maybe no the tire pressure code).
Secondly, I recently changed the oil and kept the splashguard removed. Shortly after that we started experiencing electrical problems. The locks flicking between locked/unlocked sporadically, and the speedometer jumping back and forth reading incorrect speeds. Now I've never known a splashguard to protect electronics under the vehicle, but I just want to make sure as I'm new to owning a Tiguan and don't know the car inside and out yet.
Any help is appreciated, I hope I provided enough information.
