Hi i just got my new Tiguan and im planning to use the winter tires from my Atlas. Current All season tire is 255/40/R20 and winter tire im gonna install is 245/60/R18.

red flag i see is that the inner side wall is too close to the strut perch there is still about 1/4 or less space. anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks

The tyres are too tall for the usual circumference for the Tiguan
235/55 R18s are usual spec

The wheels may actually be the problem if the mounting isn't suitable for the Tiguan hubs.

Its the difference between the 40 and the 60. The 60 will be a taller wall so not suitable to fit the Tig without rubbing.
