Hi all,
I have a 2018 Tiguan SE 4Motion with the 8 speed. It has 130000 miles on it, mostly long haul highway miles.
Transmission service got away from me.
There are no issues, but I’m wondering if it’s still ok to do a first transmission fluid change on it.
I’ve heard at that high of mileage it can be detrimental. But it’s not that old and hasn’t been driven hard.
If I do the change, I’ll be happy to share my experience.
Thanks!!

I'd do it ASAP. Still only 3 years old. Don't skip the AWD fluid. Spark plugs, brake fluid, as well if not done. If you keep up with the recommended change schedules, the factory is much more likely to help if an issue comes up.

Yes, was going to hit the transmission, the Haldex and the spark plugs.

You hear things like you shouldn’t change old transmission fluid, but I like to think age matters a bit and shouldn’t be an issue here even if I am a bit over the mileage recommendation.
