Welcome to the group. I have moved your topic into a better spot to better assist you.

I'd be taking it back to where you bought it first usually they require a 30 day warranty on everything. What climate system do you have the single zone or the dual zone? If you have the dual zone a Climate reset may free up a sticky flap motor. Of it is press and hold both the AC button and tht button for Middle Vent (arrow pointing at face for dash vents) all the lights will start flashing and things will recalibrate.

If it's the standard system, then we will need a VCDS scan to manually check and reset the system. Flap motor issues are fairly common on VWs. But again if it is a flap issue I'd be going back to seller and asking them hey this don't work. Of they are a good dealer they should take care of you.

Like I said putting LEDs in a reflector housing is a bad idea as they can be blinding to oncoming traffic much worse than HIDs. And cause major light scatter as they overpower the housing staying with a standard halogen even they are expensive, it's $45 for a pair of Standards, and $50 for the Cool Blue. LEDs for a quality set is $80-100, cheap LEDs can and may damage wiring, and melt housings as they do get very hot during use. If you choose to go LED, be sure they are CanBus friendly so you don't see Check High Beam Bulb every time you start the engine. But it's your car you can experiment as you wish. Just speaking from experience.

As far as an led light bar a generic one mounted to the bumper or to the roof is what most do. Vw does not make it.

#584348 How To Fit Front Door Puddle/Warning Lights - Feedback

Posted by IggytheTiggy on 15 April 2021 - 06:59 PM

Oh you did go into the front door module and when you click on adaptation select the rear slave on the drop menu and change coding. Going directly to the rear doors off the main screen won't do it.

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man.

He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper’s cemetery in the back country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn’t stop for directions.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch.

I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I’ve never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played ‘Amazing Grace,’ the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say -
“I never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years!!”

Pop the cover off under the seat and make sure you have the 9W7 variant of the module. A loose wire in the column shouldn't have anything to do with it dropping out. Maybe an issue with the can connection? Possibly... Also make sure tbere is no water pooling under the module. Being that it's the RCD310 I can assume no sunroof? These BT modules are finicky at best. If I lay my phone on the seat (my passenger, as the module is under it) it will do calls okay but it will not transmit media well. If I out it up on the dash in the recess it works great. I've also seen and heard phones themselves do it. Do you have another phone you can try connecting to see if it changes anything?

#584114 Numerous error lights on dash! Possible wheel sensor fault?

Posted by IggytheTiggy on 12 April 2021 - 03:42 AM

The more you spend the better the tool. VCDS and OBD11 are the top. You say Carly I am assuming you mean Carista? That's an okay setup but not what you really need to dive deep for canbus controlled vechiles. VWs need special tools. It's an investment.. you can always sell your VCDS cable if you sell and get a good return. OBD11 you can keep using on a new vehicle. DO NOT buy a cheap Chinese scanner even if it says Canbus.. they have been known to damage VWs sensitive electronics. Also! Also! ALSO! When you plug in any device all door have to be unlocked and the key on... Make sure battery voltage is good before scanning and checking. VCDS will say battery is too low or voltage low and exit a scan to protect the modules.

#584108 Low oil pressure stop car warning

Posted by IggytheTiggy on 12 April 2021 - 03:30 AM

This is a good example why I dislike Dealer Service Intervals on Turbo Charged engines. Those that do it every 10k miles I've heard engines failing at 110-120k miles usual the turbo goes out or sludge in the top end wipes a cam out. 5k is a good and what i do as well as many others. Keeps a lot of things happy keeping fresh oil pumping thru. I'm coming up on 80k and I'm going to try and use the Liqui Moly Engine flush kit with the CeraTec Additive I won in a drawing over the winter. I'm curious to see what that flush is able to knock out.. as I usually buy the 5L jug of oil and after draining I'll use that 1/2-1/4 L left in the old jug and dumpmin the motor with the plug out. It's been getting darker and darker as the miles pile on. Engine sludging is a killer and can plug the cam phaser screen and I believe there is another screen elsewhere bthatvcan plug essentially starving critical areas from getting proper oil flow. If you have tested and verified oil pressure is within spec and the lights on it is most likely the sensor. If the oil pressure is anywhere near the bottom of spec, it's safe to assume the oil galleys have sludge in them. TSI engines run their oil a bit hot due to a fluid to fluid cooler found on top of the transmission. So if your engine is running at 90C/190F your oils is going to be about 220-230F. Maybe lower on a fresh engine. I worked on a friend's GTI before his top end failed due to said Screen on the phaser and monitoring his oil temp he was 275F!!! Oil wasn't getting to the cooler.. wiped out the intake cam, jumped a tooth on the timing as the tensioner was the original revision and took the motor out. It was ugly inside. And he was lucky to do it every 10k. He was using "extended service" oil and changing it every 15-20k since that's what the dealer said to do.

Sergio, what motor do you have? If it's the petrol EA888.1 please get your cam chain tensioner inspected asap!!
