Sorry to be starting another 'Fuel' topic, but the other similar post appears quite old, did the original poster ever buy a Tiguan then?
Anyways, I've had my R-line for nearly two years now, still loving it.
Have recorded almost all of my fill ups on Fuelly.com
Was wondering how other Tiguans compare and noted that of all the 2010 and 2011 Tigs using this facility, mine's just about the only UK registered Tiguan on there.
Figures are there for all to see, my car's listed in the browse vehicles list of Tiguans, 2011 spec. with user name septikangel as here.
Being a non Blue motion 2.0 Diesel, 140bhp, AWD, I'm reasonable happy with my 35mpg average consumption with a 'best of about 44mpg according to the figures recorded.
I do occassionally tow a caravan, although the majority of driving is local with the occassional long run.
The car computer recently indicated that I was attaining 60mpg on a near two hour run down the motorway while I deliberately kept at 58mph, although the real figures input on fuelly record nowhere near that figure. But hey, I didn't buy the car purely for the economy, although it's interesting to know just what it's doing.
And that's why I'm posting this here.......
How come no-one else in the UK is on Fuelly.com?
Doubt I'm the only one here who's interested in the figures for the Tiguan.... or am I ???
If your interested, click on my Fuelly banner below and it will take you to my details on the site. Register too if it's of interest to you, it'd be of interest to me to see how others are doing in the UK. (and no, I'm nowt to do with the site, just a member as here)
