So I've finally got this sorted. Turns out that it wasn't the brake caliper binding, but in fact the alignment was done incorrectly. The bloke that did the alignment originally must have selected the wrong model 2016-2018 AD1 I think it was.

It must have been forcing the pads up against the disc causing the rotor to heat up.

Anyhow, all sorted and driving straight!

Hope this helps anyone with similar problems!

Sorry to rain on your parade but there is absolutely no way an alignment can affect brakes. And even if plausible it would be so far off (think clown car) that it would not be drivable. Keep a eye on it.
