Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ everyone

Apologies as I keep calling it teegun but I know I should use Tig-Wan ๐Ÿค”

Bought My Tiguan April 2019 From Cardiff VW and enjoying it so far ๐Ÿ˜Š

I know buying it from a stealers seems a mad move but having looked around for quite a while this one suited us best and was the perfect spec going forward.

Traded in Our Golf R as they offered the best deal on trade in and as I was sick of boy racers wasting Our time.

We managed a das Walt 2 year warranty and 2 services Thrown in so pretty chuffed as our Tig has been looked after.

Just working out how to add a few pics ๐Ÿค”

Just to add after purchase I did complain to the head tech at the dealership about a few issues I found after a few weeks driving ๐Ÿค”

At first he was dismissive of the points I raised and I was assured the vehicle was Fine. After A quick demonstration With the head tech as a passenger heโ€™d changed his mind ๐Ÿ˜„ A week later all four wheels received Roadforce balancing. A hunter full alignment was completed which proved the point I raised at the outset of My issues. And the 4 motion received a brand new Rear Haldex Pump and oil ๐Ÿค— so drives fantastic now. Very happy.

A neighbour owns an independent VAG garage so kindly fitted the Tiguan in for some new front console bushes, as I found A little shimmer in the chassis when travelling on certain surfaces.
At this point I chose a non OEM Powerflex offset console bush to add a little more negative camber and positive caster to the front chassis and it works a treat. Very happy with the mod.

Managed to find a decent set of 20โ€Audi rims For the summer and Iโ€™ll buy some winter/ all season tyres for the stock 18โ€ Mallory.
I do like winter/ all season come the cold winters although I may be fine with our milder winters just running these but then again the softer compound winter/all season do feel super comfortable in the colder temperatures come winter time.

Theyโ€™re an Audi OEM Pirelli Pzero 265/35/20 at the moment but Iโ€™m looking to get a slightly fatter sidewall 275/35 which will only increase the speed reading around 1.2%.

A very controversial move but I do run 15mm wheel spacers on the stock 18โ€ Mallory wheels Iโ€™ll now use come winter time.
I find these really do add to the positive stance of the Tiguan in my opinion of course.
I know these can introduce issues with scrub radius etc up front and more stress on wheel bearings/ Suspension components But they just work so well on My application and set the Tiguan off superbly.

For interest the original images of the Mk1 Tiguan RLine show the Mallory Wheels flush with wheel archers so the original designer thought like I do.

Looking to use these on My 20โ€ aswell as theyโ€™ll look just as good. Etto
I have observed My brother in law running 15mm spacers on his 350Z from new now 12 years old with no bearing issues and his v6 lump is as heavy as the Tiguan driveline. So fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž

JoTiguan, I deleted your two empty posts. Also, I tried opening your pic, but was on the clock forever. After deleting one of your duplicate pics I was then able to view your pic.

I must say that the spacers do slightly soften the R line stock suspension. porobably changing the spring rates slightly.

Mot coming up and as our Tig is now 5 years old itโ€™s getting a full timing belt kit at our main dealership at the same time. ยฃ473 including the Mot which I thought was very good Considering I paid that much just For a timing kit fitted on our daughters 1.5dci Nissan Juke.๐Ÿ˜ฎ and that was after haggling ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคฌ

While Iโ€™m there I will bring up the issues of a dead feeling on the steering At dead centre Which is still apparent after 14k miles.

I have read on the VCDS section that there is a fix for this but wondering if anyone capable is located in our area to help And much appreciated as Iโ€™ve no idea on that front.

Still loving the Tiguan though itโ€™s the perfect setup for our needs.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
