A niece of mine says her car has tree sap on it. Could someone let me know the best and safest way to remove it?

Thanks Shawn. Would you recommend NOT spraying it directly on the car, but instead spray on a soft cloth and rub the affected area?

Might also be worth trying a tin of generic spray furniture polish such as Mansion polish etc.
I use it for getting rid of gooey residue left behind from sticky labels etc....it breaks it down and is much easier to remove by wiping... works well too, so may be worth a try on tree sap. Importantly it's harmless to your car paint work. Solid wax polish don't work but your bog standard furniture spray does.
Isopropyl is also pretty good at shifting stuff, also perfectly safe on car finish.
