I have also update my steering assist controller

here is much you can try......

I hade Component: J500__APA-BS KL.219 0802

so I did first upgraded to J500__APA-BS KL.0
Software version
1401

then after that I went to J500__APA-BS KL.0
Software version
1501

I have read that it is best to do 1401 before you do 1501....

Then there is filling the parameters you must also do....
there is a list for what parameters you want...

- 310 - Tiguan, Passat B7 2012
- 337 - Passat B7 2013

- 374 - Audi Q3
- 375 - Audi Q3 the RS
- 376 - Audi Q3 2014
- 377 - Audi Q3 2015

- 310 - Tiguan, Passat B7 2012
- 333 -? - (v074B3335N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo) The steering wheel is slightly heavier on the ground than in the 337 parameter, then it is also filled with a load. Compared with 375, it is softer and more comfortable Ayoung
- At the beginning of the movement - the steering wheel is immediately heavier, and with every kilometer of speed dialing, it's getting heavier and heavier. On the spot a little (quite a bit) heavier than on 337 vadmal
- 337 - Passat B7 2013 - (v074B3375N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo) The steering wheel is light in place, with the increase in speed it is filled with a weight ~ 80 km.ch, when switching to the sport it is weighed heavier and faster ~ 60km.h S-BLL

- 374 - Audi Q3 - ( v074B3745N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo)
- 375 - Audi Q3 RS - (v074B3755N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo) The steering wheel is tight in place, with an increase in speed is poured even heavier

- 376 - Audi Q3 2014 - (v074B3765N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo)
- 377 - Audi Q3 2015g - (v074B3775N1___Lenkung. sgo) - The most convenient, comfortable in my opinion the parameter. For girls, the steering wheel may seem heavy. The car is like poured into speed.

For those who do not know, the parameter 337  is the firmware with the adjustment of the steering rack, which can be changed instead of the standard one and you can choose the optimal settings depending on what you want, the light steering wheel, heavy, etc

this is from another forum.......

so anyway the 337 I think it best....

Go to 44 and find the files...choose the 2 files

30t74ok.jpg

this will take about 2 minutes

2expmh1.jpg

the steering indicator will be red...don't worry...

zybqeb.jpg

it will ask you to switch off and on the ignition...

jset6a.jpg

first file done...

2luvyj6.jpg

now finished the 1401..

rc93if.jpg

now it will flash the file 1501
and again go to 44

11hbfpk.jpg

ih5kra.jpg

the second file...

nmgmfa.jpg

look like this with the 2 files...

24g35t3.jpg

hit flash then again off and on ignition...blablabla..

Might have a play with this tomorrow. Have you stuck with 337? Think Ruben uses the 375 RSQ3.

I guess it all comes down to what feels better to each individual person

Not sure if I am doing something wrong here or do I have a different setup with my car being a later model? I seem to have software version 3501 and part number 5N0909144R so mine start 5N0 where yours starts 5N1, I have searched the latest flashdata from Erwin but 5N0909144 doesn't seem to exist?

Any ideas image attached:

no I don't think it is...

it has to do with 1st, 2nd generation
3rd generation

Yeah I have the latest flashdata from Erwin also, do you have older flash data to see if 5N0909144 was on the list previously?

From that page it says: (I don't understand what is talking about)

The generation has not yet been identified:

? - 5N0 909 144 * (2nd or 3rd, the field of the parameter firmware is identical to ZF for the 3rd generation).

... we will continue:

For ZF rails of the third generation, files with the index N: v074 N ****. Sgo are needed.
That is, the files for the firmware should look like this: v074N *** 1K0 ___ Lenkung_Reibung.sgo or v074N *** 8J0 ___ Lenkung_Reibung.sgo, where *** is a unique parameter number.

Yeah seems I say a third generation rack

Identified as EPS_ZFLS .
There are three generations of this rack.

In the third generation there have been some changes in the design. The theme of the second generation rake

Looking at the software version for the 3rd generation at the time that article was written I had the latest software, not sure if there has been another release since. I'm sure as you say Ruben will know the answer if he looks at the topic

Updating the software ZF racks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part-number of the rack (namely, the last letter in it) depends on the software version (not the parameters!).
For example:
1K0 909 144 C - software version 2301
1K0 909 144 J - software version 3001
1K0 909 144 M - software version 3201
1K0 909 144 P - software version 3305
1K0 909 144 R - software version 3501
Zf steering need to be cleared and written again. Dont mix zf with apa. You cant use 375 or other steering curves that we are using. But you have latest sw so only change curve, but choose audi tt or golf R,the v074n, like already written in this thread.
yes, and the question is how to update??
Well reading from that post it says:
If you currently have a working rake (for example, 1K0909144P), and the software does not need to be updated, you can not run 1 st and 2 nd stages, starting immediately with the third - filling the parameters.
So I would only have to do stage 3 which is:
The third stage is the firmware of the parameter.
For this, we determine what characteristic you want to see in your car (from Golf, Audi, VW, Seat, etc.). Let me remind you that the files we need begin with v074n ***. Sgo
Have you chosen? Ok, we are fixing the required file.
Comments:
Lately, there have been a lot of controversy, whether it is necessary first to flash the firmware, and then the main software. Answer: you can not flash, if you do not change the rack number (its 3 first characters). On the flash drives there are files: lh0012901_TT.sgo , lh0013305_VW416.sgo , lh0013501_VW428.sgo . All of them change the Rookie Party number. For example, lh0012901_TT.sgo will change the first characters to 8J0. If you want to flash such firmware on the 1K0 rake, you first need to use a zeroing file (it prepares the rail for changing the first characters) - lh0022901_TT.sgo , and then flashing lh0012901_TT.sgo . If you are flashing a 1K0 rack with firmware that does not change the part number, then you can not reset it. To flash the above files on the third generation rails is safe - everything goes well.
But I want to note that only the firmware of the rails under VW416, VW428 and Audi (8J0, lh0012901_TT.sgo) was tested, but not the operation of the rack on a real machine.
Who will try - be sure to unsubscribe.
The looking at the flashdata for v074n I think these would be the files I would use to flash:
Ok after a bit more reading I think its a case of as Ruben says wiping all the information in the rack and building it up flash by flash again.
I have looked at the flashdata option but I am still none the wiser as I'm not sure the filenames give you all the information required
So I think Stage 1 will be 1 of these which 1 I have no idea:
Attached File  Stage 1.jpg   43.7KB   8 downloads
Stage 2 will be 1 of these files again no idea which 1:
Attached File  Stage 2.jpg   62.59KB   7 downloads
Stage 3 I am guessing will be 1 of these, I have based this assumption purely on the fact they have 5N0 in the filenames aqs well as v074N
Attached File  Stage 3.jpg   248.08KB   7 downloads
VW
File: v074N 251 1K0 ___ Lenkung.sgo
251 - Scirocco R, Golf R is a great option!
Audi TT
Firmware file: v074N *** 8J0 ___ Lenkung_Reibung.sgo
Where *** is the number of the parametric curve.
235 - Front-wheel drive car
240 - Audi TT, Front-wheel drive car
241 - Audi TT Quattro and TTS
236 - Four wheel drive (4WD)
237 - Audi TTS
239 - Audi TTRS
I would try this....
Yeah golf r steering is very nice from the brief driving I have done in them!
I'm a bit lost with it now though as I don't think I can just go flashing that v074n2511k0 file. Other specific files need flashing first.... I think
