Been working in Norway and the Tiguan is very popular, I guess that is why delivery to the UK takes so long, plus with the Norwegian prices VW must make more money from selling them there.

I'm working in Norway this week and I share your vision, many Tiguans, and with good specs!

But what really amazes is the amount of Electric cars, mainly the Tesla!!!

I also work in Norway and see many Tigs, but most of the purchase cost is going to the government in new car tax, not to VW.

Electric cars are popular because many people are commuting from islands through tunnels etc. With no fee for electric cars they actually pay for themselves, in a way, after a few years.
I think Norway has the worlds second largest contingent of Tesla's.

UK - North.

Another reason why electric cars are so popular in Norway is that there is no VAT (which is 25% in Norway) on electrical cars and also no tax based on horsepower (soon to be changed to be based on CO2 emissions instead) as it is for normal petrol/diesel/hybrid cars. They are also exempt from parkin fees and are allowed to drive in the bus lanes. So the Norwegian government has really been trying to promote the electrical car in almost all ways possible. But from what I have understood reading the news, the benefits will slowly go away starting in 2017.

2012, TSI 180, DSG, 4Motion, Sport&Style-trim, Pepper Grey Metallic, Black leather, Panoramic sunroof, Retractable tow bar, PDC and Park assist, Rearview camera, RNS 510, Dynaudio, Bi-Xenon, retrofitted OEM Bluetooth
